Comprehensive Research Methodology Course

د.إ500.00

Description:

This module aims to engage students in critical exploration of a research question. Through this they will develop skills in planning, undertaking and analyzing research, making recommendations for applying their findings and future research. It distinguishes the range of research from reflective practice, and action research from quality improvement, program evaluation, the scholarship of teaching and learning, and other types of research. We’ll start with exploring ontology and epistemology which is foundational basis of research. What counts as knowledge? What is your notion of reality and how is this determined? Learners will understand methodologies used in educational research and how to choose the appropriate methods to answer research questions. Additionally, we’ll unpack how to write a research statement, research questions, data collection methods, analysis and considerations around writing and critiquing a research article.
This module also covers the conduction of research ending with the collection of data, the management and analysis of data, the writing of a report, poster, oral presentation, article, thesis, or other types of publication. The module also covers the ethical considerations during all these research steps.
